Through the current generation’s foresight, the ranch developed 8 wells to provide over 12 miles of water infrastructure. Strategically placed water tanks across the 3500 plus acres of pasture, provide clean water for livestock and wildlife. With 27 fresh water sources and 18 ponds throughout the ranch, cattle and wildlife thrive to their true potential.

Operating a ranch takes hard work and dedication. Mending fences, tree removal, pond and well maintenance, planting and harvesting crops, managing a cow herd, and eradicating noxious weeds, this becomes a full-time job. Through four generations of the Plinsky operation and stewardship, their hard work has been recognized at many levels, most recently winning both the county and state level conservation awards for grassland stewardship, even being nominated at the national level.
